Description: This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate leadership qualities by serving their communities, in addition to excelling academically. In addition to the $10,000 scholarship, winners have a chance to win an additional $30,000 scholarship awarded during at a national NBA event.
Title: Staples Scholarship

Who’s it for?: Hispanic citizens or permanent residents of the United States planning to enroll in a full-time degree program with a GPA of at least 3.00. Must be studying a field related to business, finance, or administrative management. Dependents of Staples employees favored. Must file FAFSA.
Description: Scholarships awarded competitively to Junior and Senior college students and graduate students. Includes an opportunity to intern at Staples.
Title: HACEMOS Scholarship

Who’s it for?: Hispanic citizens or permanent residents of the United States under the age of 24 planning to enroll in a full-time degree program with a GPA of at least 3.00. Description: Scholarship designed to aid outstanding students of Hispanic heritage and dependents of HACEMOS members in completing higher education. HACEMOS is the national Hispanic/Latino employees association of AT & T.
Title: Inspiring Women Award

Who’s it for?: Female Hispanic citizens or permanent residents of the United States planning to enroll in a full-time degree program with a GPA of at least 3.00. Must demonstrate leadership qualities, have service experience, and have a permanent address in NY, NJ, or CT. Must file FAFSA.
Description: The WNBA’s Inpsiring Women Award honors women who inspire and aid other women in all endeavors. The award is presented at a special luncheon in March attended by female leaders from the public, business, sports and arts sectors.

Who’s it for?: Hispanic citizens or permanent residents of the United States enrolled in a full-time degree program in business or engineering with a GPA of at least 3.00. Description: This scholarship is awarded to outstanding college students studying business or engineering in select geographical locations.
Title: Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting

Amount: $1,250-10,000
Who’s it for?: Hispanic US citizens or permanent residents studying business, finance, or accounting with
a GPA of 3.00. Must demonstrate financial need
Description: The ALPFA awards $150,000 in scholarships yearly, mostly in the amounts of $1,250-1,500. The fifty top candidates also win an invitation to ALPFA’s national conference with all expenses paid. Top candidates may also be eligible for scholarships up $10,000.
Title: National Society of Hispanic MBAs

Amount: $2,500-10,000
Who’s it for?: Hispanic US citizens or permanent residents planning to enroll in an MBA program, with a GPA of 3.00 or two years work experience and a GPA of 2.75. Must have an NSHMBA membership.
Description: The NSHMBA exists, “to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development.” The scholarship includes an additional $250 allowance for travel and lodging expenses to attend NSHMBA’s annual conference.
For Black Candidates
Title: NBMBAA Graduate Scholarship Program

Description: NABA awards 40-70 scholarships annually, totalling around $500,000, to deserving minority students studying business.

Who’s it for?: US and Canadian citizens or permanent residents studying public administration, accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration. Available only to African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino students. Description: This scholarship recognizes outstanding performance by minority students preparing for careers in government finance. The award is presented at GFOA’s annual conference in Chicago.

Description: According to their website, “The Toigo MBA Fellowship provides minority MBA candidates committed to careers in finance with an unmatched network of contacts, a prestigious point of difference in the eyes of employers, one-on-one career guidance, leadership training, a merit award—and more.”

Who’s it for?: Women with Bachelor’s Degrees looking to advance careers, change careers, or return to the work force through higher education. Preference given to women of color, women pursuing their first advanced degree, and women pursuing work in non-traditional fields.
Description: According to their mission statement, “AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.”
Title: NAWMBA Board of Directors Scholarship
Affiliated Organization: National Association of Women MBAs
Amount: $2,250
Who’s it for?: Women enrolled in MBA programs with a 3.0 GPA in undergraduate work and, if applicable, a 3.0 GPA in their MBA program. Must also have NAWMBA membership and register for conference.
Description: The NAWMBA seeks to increase female enrollment in MBA programs and to increase the presence of women in corporate leadership positions.
